Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma & Foot & Ankle surgeon
After undergraduate training in Edinburgh, I completed Orthopaedic training in Birmingham. followed by specialist fellowship training in Limb Reconstruction Surgery in Bristol and Foot and Ankle Surgery in Sheffield as well as an AO Trauma fellowship in Tampa, Florida.
Since 2015 I have worked as an Orthopaedic Trauma Consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital which serves as the major trauma centre for Birmingham and the surrounding region. I am a member of the limb reconstruction unit, receiving tertiary referrals from across the region.
I specialise in complex lower limb trauma including periarticular fractures, foot and ankle trauma, orthoplastic injuries and post-traumatic limb reconstruction.
A significant proportion of my practice involves the use of circular fixators for both acute and delayed trauma reconstruction, non-union, malunion and bone infection.
My elective practice is in the main as well as the management of post-traumatic and elective foot and ankle conditions, such hallux valgus (bunions), all foot & ankle deformity, arthritis (including ankle fusion ) and all sports injuries of the foot & Ankle (including ankle ligament reconstruction and arthroscopy).
